ACT 3 SCENE 1

Benvolio and Mercutio are approached by Tybalt, who is seeking Romeo. Romeo turns up and Tybalt wants revenge for turning up to the capulet party. Romeo tells Tybalt that he can’t hate him but has reason to love him, but won’t tell him why. Tybalt starts beating up Romeo but he still doesn’t fight back. Mercutio is embarrassed by Romeo disgracing his name, so Mercutio steps in. they fight and then Mercutio gets stabbed. Mercutio dies. Romeo now wants his revenge and kills Tybalt. Romeo feels guilty and says “O, I am fortune’s fool.”
